Below is a link to a video which highlights some of the best moments of our year. Our biggest event of the year was the birth of Owen's brother, Alex. He was born on January 28th, just one day prior to Daddy’s birthday. Daddy was hoping to have the same birthday as his son, but Alex just couldn’t wait! (Sonya took Alex's side as well - no need to prolong labor)
Last week, Alex began crawling. Like all babies who discover the great freedom of mobility, his first trip was to inspect and attempt to sabotage our DVD player. You should have seen the disappointment on his face when he discovered that Owen had already inserted random orphaned toys.
Owen has adjusted to Alex’s arrival and is a caring and protective big brother. He began preschool this year, and despite our best efforts to continuously stimulate him with books, crafts and trips to parks, museums and libraries, he proudly announced to his teachers that his favorite thing in the whole wide world is..........watching TV shows!
We have traveled quite a bit this year, with trips to California in August and over Thanksgiving as well as a trip to Orlando in November. We’ll be meeting up with the Dhamija clan again over Christmas break. We’ve been told that on the first two visits to California we missed a few wineries and need to finish up the Napa/Sonoma tour!
Despite our weary state due to lack of sleep, it has been a memorable year. We wish you a wonderful holiday and a happy and healthy new year!!
